This afternoon I met my friend ChuNae (Christina) for lunch over at AK plaza. I'm starting to get to know lots of good places to eat over there, because that's where most of my friends hang out! I forgot my camera this time, but we went to the Mayfair, which is a nice little Italian place (but I'm sure you guessed that from the name, right??). We shared a couple of different dishes that were yummy, and it was much cheaper than the other italian places I know!
After that we walked back to my apartment from SeoHyun because she wanted to meet the puppies. It took us about 40 minutes to stroll along the river, it was such a nice day outside that I hardly noticed! We passed by a park on the way that had a bazillion chairs and tents and booths set up, with a big banner advertising a Family Rock Festival.
ChuNae had to go back to Gyeong-Ju at 4, but I decided I'd head back to the park in the evening to check things out even if I had to go alone! I did go back myself to see what was going on in the afternoon while I waited for my foreigner friends to meet me for dalk-galbi (yum!yum!) dinner... here's the scoop:
The kids were racing 4 at a time to see who could catch the most goldfish... they all got to take their 'catch' home (the line for this was loooong!)
All kinds of inflatable fun abounded... the god babies would have loved it!
The Power Rangers were there in case anything went wrong...
Annnd, there was a kid-flinger (I wish I had one in my classroom!)
Lots of booths set up for kids and families, stuff to keep parents and kids busy in the warm afternoon sushine... oh, AND there was cotton candy!! Mmmm... cotton candy...
After buying a bag and walking up to meet my friends for dinner I decided I'd have to convince them to go check out the park festival instead of going to a movie... wish me luck!!
