Sitting up at the airport hotel (nice place really, good bed, 8 feather pillows piled up around me, just out of a hot hot bath... talk about loving my life!) with MTV playing in the background... something about Mariah trying to break out of her doll box so she can run around in a realllly tight nurses uniform, I'm so lost (maybe I'm too old for this channel now). I've booked my wakeup call, puppy has been for a few walks and though I have a few things strewn about the room all's otherwise well.
It was really nice to have the week to spend with family, especially mom. It was nice to just chill out, relax, hang out and visit without any pressure of time or activity. I feel pretty lucky to have had the time, and she said she was happy to have done it too - so yay for family time! Mom, if you're reading this, Hawaii for September vacation? Huh? Huh? Well, are you at least thinking about it??! :)
I can't WAIT to get on (and then off!) that plane, I have no words! I wonder if I'm going to be able to sleep tonight. I'm supposed to be finding articles for the paper I have due next week on Monday, so far I've not had any luck with that, way too distractible (but I have to get it done tonight!). It'll be nice to use my laptop on the plane if I feel like it, I have a couple of movies tucked away in case the inflight one sux... of course there's always sleeping too!!! :)
I've emailed the school and the recruiter and asked them if they would arrange to have a taxi take me directly from the airport to the school so that I don't have to transfer 3x with all of my luggage, and of course in typical style I'm still waiting to hear back about whether or not they'll do so. Their original plan is just too much of a pain and I'm not doing it... just have to figure out how to make them pay for it!! We'll see, I think I was reasonable, and in true Korean style it leaves all the opportunity for a good dish of face-saving... fingers and such crossed, back to school I go!!
